California State Assemblyman Jim Nielson stopped by at the General MLS Mebership meeting on Jan 20 to accept a campaign donation from CREPAC . Jim spoke briefly of his continued work in support of issues of importance to all REALTORS, including protection of Prop 13 tax rules, and issues surrounding water use and unworkable point of sale septic tank regulations. Today our featured guest is Rian Barrett, Government Affairs Field Representative from C.A.R. Rian is one of four Field Reps for the entire state. She represents the area from Barstow to Siskiyou County.  Rian filled in members about her activities and the actions C.A.R. has taken on behalf of REALTORS, workign with lobbyists and legislators.

She spoke about current topics of interest to local Realtors with regard to C.A.R Legislative efforts and matters of importance to all our members.
