MULTIPLE LISTING SERVICE

The Association has received numerous complaints about agents placing marketing  signs on property that are not represented in the MLS.  Often times buyers will inquire about properties and agents frustrations develop due to lack of information on said properties.  The use of pre-marking signs like Coming Soon are not prohibited from use.  The MLS has documents that allow properties to be withheld from the listing service.  Agents just want to represent their clients in a professional manner. For Sale Signs should be used for properties, absent of withholding notices, that are ready to be presented with detailed to membership.

Hence, the MLS committee has requested that the Board of Directors approve a change in the MLS Rules which will prohibit For Sale Signs on property more than 24 hours prior to being in the MLS as an approved listing.

VESTRA Maps

We are inching closer to completing a new map for Shasta County.  Many of our REALTOR® participants have volunteered time helping development the map.  They were asked to take portions of the map and proof them by adding or correcting discrepancies found in the field.  All the changes are being recognized by VESTRA RESOURCES as they ready the map for production.  I’m still thinking about July 4th before we see a print.  Perfect!

Still on the horizon, the committee has received Director approval to enhance the mapping feature in FLEX with an additional 5 layers.  We are in the process of adding Zip Code, Schools, Zoning, Water Districts and General Plan to the mapping layers.

REALTORS® on the SentriLock system can now complete full SentriCard® renewals on the go, anytime and anywhere their busy day takes them, by using any BlackBerry phone* and BlackBerry SmartCard Reader.

System users can purchase a BlackBerry SmartCard Reader V2 directly from SentriLock for $199. The SentriLock BlackBerry Card Utility Program is free. Please fill out the form below to order a BlackBerry SmartCard Reader.

A group has  been formed to construct GREEN friendly listing forms.  The request initiated from the newly formed GREEN Committee chaired by Nedra Soos of Coldwell Banker C&C.  The subcommittee of Jim Winchell, Denise McDonald, Sandy Mays, Richard Martin has been formed to take the challenge.  We can expect new GREEN fields on our forms by June.
